A Prayer for Help

Oppose those who oppose me, Lord
And fight those who fight against me
Take your shield and armour
And come to my rescue
Lift up your spear and your axe
Against those who pursue me
Promise that you will save me

May those who try to kill me be defeated and disgraced
May those who plot against me be turned back and confused
May they be like straw blown by the winf
As the angel of the Lord pursues them
May their path be dark and slippery
While the angel of the Lord strikes them down

Without any reason they laid a trap for me
And dug a deep hole to catch me
But destruction will catch them before they know it
They will be caught in their own trap
And fall to their destruction

Then I will be glad because of the Lord
I will be happy because He saved me
With all my heart I will say to the Lord
''There is none like you.
You protect the weak from the strong,
The poor from the oppressor''

The storm makes my heart beat wildly. Listen all of you to the voice of God, To the thunder that comes from His mouth. He sends the lightning accross the sky, From one end of the earth to the other. "Those who try to hide their plans from the Lord are doomed! "  Isaiah 29:15  Photo credit: Dreamstime God is the creator of the universe and the one who directs our lives. He knows all our desires and the things we wish to do. He knows every one of us from the inside out and we cannot hide anything from Him. We should always include God in our plans and seek His guidance. Only He can give us the wisdom to make the right decisions. When we do this we are professing God as the majestic and all-powerful creator of the universe. It is a sign of our love and respect for Him. God requries us to put Him first place in all our decisions. He wants us to seek Him every day and He promises to guide us in the right path. It is only in doing so that we find true happiness and joy in all that we do. Therefore, let us learn to pray to God whenever we need to make a decision. Let us seek His approval and blessings before we put into action any plans we have made.
